Todd, $2800 for a 1977 pickup is insane.

Chris, I hope you and everyone is okay. That's scary as hell. Glad the whole house didn't burn down!

yes it is ok, but i will come clean on this, i live at my moms house, she is partially disabled and on oxygen 24 hours a day and also smokes! my dad passed away about 4 years ago and i figured it wouldn't be a bad idea to still live here with my mom! the situation with my ex and child never worked out so this is where i'm at for now! i try and help my mom as much as possible, she is 68 years old had unsuccessful knee surgery and a fusion of disks in her back but she is my mom! i will miss her dearly when she is gone! tonight i heard the smoke alram go off and she had a smoke and i guess it fell out of her mouth or she fell asleep, i ran down and saw her trying to put out the fire with a pillow and i freaked! i saw fire and was scared to death, i started stomping on the oxygen tube that was burning/melting and grabbed a fire extinguisher to make sure it was completely out! the whole house was filled with smoke and it was kinda scary! but now the story ends here, with we are ok!!

thanks justin and todd, man i was scared badly!! and i also got mad at my mom, but i didn't mean it, i knew it was going to happen, she always smokes when she is in bed, but i really hope that scared her enough not to! i always thought that if the oxygen comes into contact with flame the whole thing would blow up? my mom has a concentrator and a straight tap in unit, so i guess the concentrator maybe is not as flammable as the straight hookup! man i guess i could say we are lucky but i'm still very worried if it ever happens again!

Thank god you were there and hopefully she learned a lesson and will be more careful. Sometimes the best lesson is a good scare.
