Got off of work around 1pm and mailed my Thank you letters to the people who interviewed me yesterday. Then, I headed over to the Chevy dealership to get the 03 SS recall taken care of. The service guy was floored at the condition of Precious! I told him that the mechanics that work on it won't get too dirty because the engine compartment is so clean you can eat off of it. I hope they appreciated it. They also had 1 Camaro 2SS w/RS package and sunroof on their lot, it was awesome but the cost was a bit out of my price range - $46k

 

Space, yes I couldnt log on for a while either....

Amy, I wish I could say the same about my engine bay. I wash the engine like once a year! LOL, and at 35K a year, the engine usually has plenty of dust and dirt on it after a year! LOL! Yea that Camaro was a bit steep on the price, I bet it was nice though. I think they will come down a bit after a year or so. Right now the dealers are all charging top dollar for the Camaro because there is a limited number of them available.

Well, slow day at work...I'll be pretty busy in a few though, because all my weekly people will be coming in for pay checks because its FRIDAY!

I dropped off the new spoiler at the body shop ealier, he said it should be ready by Wednesday at the latest!
Also, while I was talking to the guy at the body shop, and he was taking pictures of the paint code sticker in my trunk, some random guy approched me...He told me. "wow that is a beauty, what year is it? He said he loved my car..." Then he said, "I own a 00 ls Monte that I recently just did an engine swap in..." so we started talking, he had the 3.4L V6, NEVER a single problem with tranny or engine....256,000 miles. Then he swapped the 3.4L for a 3.8L, and now hes at 275,000...WOW! Impressive! So he asked then tells me, "I've seen you guys with that new spoiler in your hand, and I was wondering what your doing with the old one?...My 00 LS has no spoiler, and i've been looking to buy the one that is on your car right now...do you want to sell it?" So I told him yea, but after I get the new one installed...he said "oh yea not a problem, how much? So I told him $120 (same price I paid for the new one) and he said "ok...Great I want it, call me when your new one is on, and we can meet up and I'll bring you the cash." WooHoo...I just got my new spoiler for FREE basically, all i'm paying for is painting it...(which is not cheap $175, but worth it)!!!!

 

i don't get golf. my old boss was the VP at one of the big country clubs around here and offered me tickets one year to the CVS charity classic (a bunch of famous golfers and celebrities show up apparently) and i politely declined. golf to me is more boring than watching paint dry. no offense though, i understand that it is very therapeutic to people. i'd probably be more inclined to watch it if i understood it more.

tell me about it. my co-worker/friend/boss's wife brittney is pregnant and (as my boss calls it) nesting so she is baking a lot lately. she made both cookies and brownies yesterday so she brought a bunch of both in today. her brownies (topped with heath bar topping mmmmmm) are to die for. so that was breakfast and lunch. and we wonder why we're all gaining weight! she does this at least once a week!!

i got my car back this morning (bye bye roller skate aveo haha ), he looks phenomenal. i'm uploading pics now of the windshield decal. it looks awesome if you ask me. JJ did an amazing job on it. it looks better than i even expected it to. only thing is i'm obviously not used to it yet and from the inside, i can see just part of it, and i keep seeing it in my peripheral vision and thinking there is like a branch or something on the top of the windshield, lol.

i had a minor email crisis at work this afternoon, all of a sudden i couldn't receive anything. someone from california speedway called and asked where his certificates were for his corporate people... i had no idea what he was talking about. i guess it's a good thing he called though cuz i probably wouldn't have known there was an issue with my email till tuesday morning. i fixed it after a bunch of hemming and hawing though. i have no idea how the setting got changed but whatever.

speaking of next week, my boss called me today after he left and said i could take monday off. SWEET! can i get a hell yeah for unexpected 3 day weekend!!

i'm currently watching the ARCA race and waiting for the bf to get here. he's on his way here from work, and stuck in beach traffic. fun stuff. i'll put pics up of the car in a few minutes!

 

We got our garage painted today, now the top half of the walls are bright white instead of that crappy cream color. So now our garage will be brighter than the sun LOL! That will come in handy when detailing the cars. The last thing we have to do is paint the floor.

 

Yes, it was just one of those lucky timing things I guess...about time something worked in my favor! LOL

Oh yea, totally know what you mean with the food...my problem is when that kind of stuff is around, I can't say no! LOL

Well i just got home a few mins ago and now i am relaxing for the rest of the day. It sux that i still dont have internet at work. Maybe Monday they will fix it. But as we were told, out store doesnt make alot of money, so we arelow on the priority list.
