WOW its a NICE day out here. it's gotta be 60+* out, our thermometer in the sun is reading 83* as i type this! woo!

so, i got back from the swapmeet, and quickie washed the monte & my mom's truck.

the swapmeet was cool, there was a BEUTIFULL '71 monte carlo in the show for sale, butternut yellow with a 454 / turbo 400, benseat / auto on the colum, tan interior, front disc brakes and american racing torq thrust mags. only $16,500, which was a SCREEMING deal, the car was flawless. there was also a '74 ish camaro, medeum blue, factory 350 / 4 speed car with 62k original miles on it for $9,500, and an '89 camaro iroc (i think) with a TPI 350 and factory 5 speed for $5,500. i also spied a 4th gen SS nose in one of the vendors trailers, asking $150 for the compleate nose. i got pics of the 1st gen too

other than that, not much to see, i am stoked because i found the trim clips i need for my buick, and got all 40 of 'em for $7! so now i can finally get the thing togeather! YAY!

right not, im off to eat my leftover cheesesteak. hope everyone's day is going well!

Have not gone back out lol. It was making mad. I have a service manual and it is no help. I will go look at it again in a few.

i dont blame ya todd. sometimes old trucks suck, lol. we just discovered my buddie's truck has no running lights on the bed, its a crusty nightmare underneith and now he gets to serch for a faulty ground wire. and haynes manuels really tend to suck if that's what your using, they give a general idea but not enough fallow up. when me & my dad did the turn signal swich in the monte ( not as horrible as it might seem, BTW ) there were extra wires that did not plug into anything, we were freeked untill i realized that they were for the steering wheel buttons that my car lacks.

on a crappyer note, i was bored and decided to go fiddle with my dad's Z34. so i was pulling the acorns outta the engine bay and off the cowl, and i noticed some bubeled paint on the firewall / cowl panel... poked it with my pocketknife, and discovered that most of the bottem of the cowel behind the intake is compleatly rotten, i guess from having leaves & such accumulated on it for 5+ years. i dont really wanna tell him, though, but it looks like i might have a parts car. i just hope that other 5th gen i've been looking at does not have the same problem....
