Space, that pic makes me a bit homesick. I really miss the salt air.

But i think were going to be traveling next year to Disney World in Florida. I know i'll be at the beach at least for one evening.

 

Hi Monte Carlo Mechanic's,
I have a 2000 Monte Carlo SS and my rear view mirror has what looks like Water in it, i know it's not! Anyway I'm can't figure how to get the mirror off the windshield mount I changed rear view mirrors before and the set screw was right on the mirror mount. I see poossible a clip but did not want to pry againist the windshield.

 

^^aha!! who was doubting the validity of the possibility of that happening??

Moe, do a search for rearview mirror. you should find a thread about the liquid inside of the mirror - it's what makes the mirror "darken" when there are lights behind you at night.

space - are there even 112 hours in a week?!? good gravy dude, that's insane!! i'm glad to hear you'll be able to get some more time off soon. no one should have to work like that. but you're a trooper for it!! i heard about the weather issues in daytona. they said the racetrack is almost completely underwater (yikes!). i hope things clear up soon so the spaceship is able to land.

jj - i'm on vacation this week so i haven't been home much. i've been checking in here about once a day or so but just haven't posted too much. i do have to work at the track tomorrow though. so i will be getting up at 4:30 a.m., instead of going to bed then (which i have been doing most of the week). but at least it's a slow day at the track.

wayne - thank you for sharing your story. it still must be difficult to relive that part of your life. it's sad that you were not able to spend more time with them both but you're right that you will see them soon enough on the other side.

amy - sorry to hear you didn't get the job. i know you were really looking forward to it. keep your head up though. i'm sure something will come up sooner than later. are you with more than one temp agency?

i've started to use safari instead of firefox, since firefox would always freeze up on me, but all of a sudden all the new topics on the forum aren't showing up for some reason. was working fine yesterday. so. argh.

oh and ted - i did not comment on your mullet thread, but SWEET!!!! Hahaha! good for you dude. it looks very hillbilly. did you get the windows tinted yet?

 

Welcome to the forum Moe. I know that its been talked about (the mirror). Like Jamie said, Do a quick search and you might get your answer. I would look at mine, but i have a 5th Gen and i know its diff.

Space, glad to see you online, and I totally understand you taking down the picture...It really sucks that we have to live in a world with so many creeps.

So as for me...I'm still in a great mood because schools out for the summer! I had a blast in Monteray yesterday with my family! The weather was awesome!

Today, I slept in till 9, which was amazing, man I needed that! Then I came into work at 10:30...this is a good thing about being the boss, LOL, the stress from it sucks though! LOL! But after work, i'm going out to dinner with the family again...

I also want to wish everyone a great, safe, fun holiday weekend! I will not be online for a couple days, I am flying out to Colorado tomorrow morning, and driving back Sunday and Monday. I have a good friend that i've know since Kindergarten who goes to school out there, and she is driving back...So i'm flying out there to help her pack up, and drive with her so she's not alone on that long of a drive!

Quick question...how is your member status determined? I noticed I went from Junior member to member, and today it changer to Senior member...What does this mean, and what changes it?
