Hi everyone. Thought I'd drop in for a minute or so. I haven't been on here since some time last week.
The weekly trips to MI are wearing on us. But what do you do?
A little update on Debbie's mom Martha.
They finally got the local nursing home to take Martha. Originally, they refused. Said Martha needed TOO mcu care for them to provide. (never heard of that before?)
They say the cancer is now in her brain. Medicare stopped paying the perscription for the medication that was suppose to arrest or stop the cancer in Martha's head. They claimed they could only pay for the one bottle. ($10,000) According to Debbie's sister, Medicare said if Martha wanted to continue on this medication, she would have to pay for it herself. (how in the @#$%^& does a normal person do this?)
I know all of this is wearing on Debbie. She came home from work early monday with a migraine. And then called in yesterday.
Her mom called last night upset. She wants to come home. But she can't.
I have not stopped asking God for a miracle. That He will cure this cancer and Martha can come home to her loved ones.
PS. This is why I repeatedly spoke my mind. That Debbie's parents need to be down here in the Dayton area. And not up in Michigan by themselves. If for nothing else, so Debbie and her sister could visit daily if they wanted.
One more thing. (sorry) I feel bad cause I told Debbie we could not afford a trip to MI this weekend. But I can't keep her from doing so. Meaning I will do whatever I can to make sure she is in MI this friday.
