The longest day of the year is here, Sunday is the first day of summer for 2009, taking us into the approaching summer solstice (June 21 at 05:45). As you may be wondering, the solstice is an astronomical event that occurs twice each year, when the tilt of the Earth's axis is most inclined toward or away from the Sun, resulting the Sun's apparent position in the sky to reach its northernmost or southernmost extreme. Opposite from Summer, the winter solstice is the shortest day of the year.

Well, my dad was in St. Louis this weekend. He went with his friend Larry to visit friends and family. Larry and my dad used to live in St. Louis before my dad moved up here for his job. He's coming home to day and is coming to my house for dinner. Brent is at a car show today and I'm just vegging out. I judged a car show last night so I want to take it easy today.

Wow I feel like crap. BUt if anyone ven noticed lol, ive been gone since Wed. at an 8 man football camp and actually got to play some this year. I an so sore, because we had 7 scrimmages and atleast 9-10 practices at 2 hrs a piece. And turf burn is the worst feeling ever. 
lol but Im just glad to be back around the mcfers lol, oh, and being around like 200 guys for 4 days sucks haha.

Good Evening Everyone....
I've spent pretty much all day with my dad...We didnt exactly do anything fun (thast was yesterday, installing my CAI lol) today we got our pool cleaned up, and ready for summer. Usually we are swimming in it by Memorial day, but so far we havent got to swim yet this season...our weather has just been to cool. Its been around 70-75 all the time, sometimes 82, and like two days it hit 90 since May. Then it cools down to the 50's and 60's at night, so we just can't manage to get the tempo up in the pool. But we just put a new solar cover on today, so i'm guessing next weekend it will be pretty warm!
Other than that, its just been a lazy day. Just a little while ago I was out buying my sister a birthday card for tomorrow, and some younger guy in a Ford Focus hatchback SVT kept weaving in an out of cars...So when a light turned red, and we were neck and neck at the light, I looked over, and he looked right at me, so I smiled, and when the light turned green, I floored it, tires screaching, my Monte smashed of the line, and his 4 banger was singin a pretty good song too....He was only about 1 car length behind me until I hit second gear, then the gap grew to about 2.5 car lengths, and i backed off the gas at 85 mph...At the next light he gave told me..."nice car man" "that damn thing is faster than I thought it would be..."
So that made me happy I beat him! I wonder if my new CAI helped at all....I'll tell you what though, my car never used to peel rubber when I floored it off the line like it does now. Before I just got a few chirps, now its literally peels out! So I guess the CAI did something!
