Morning all. And as Space said,
Happy Father's Day to ALL the Fathers here. I'm at my Dad's right now. I'll be headed home this afternoon. I had Mom pass last year, and at 93, there just aren't that many Father's Day's left for us together, so this one is special. Usually the races at MIS are on Father's Day, but this year Father's day is late, so we got to see the races AND Dad on Father's Day, and that is SOOOOOO great!
Hope everyone is having a great weekend. Everyone has power today, right? SOOOO many people around Michigan, and I'm sure other states, don't have power from the storms that went thru.
Have a GREAT and SAFE day my MCF family.

Mother Nature sure is reminding many how dangerous she can `be, and also how fragile that human life is for many....I watched the
National news this morning, and seen the damage from the storms,
and also from the human error's in the Gulf

I'm aware of the bad, but seek `out the good.

SO true space! I took Dad for a ride yesterday and we ended up in Mio for some coffe & pie. We drove thru the area of the "Roscommon" forest fire from a few weeks ago. Over 7,500 acres burned. I got some pics I'll post later. Everything is burned, yet it's amazing how all the undergrowth has all ready come back, and everything has greened up good. God is under control, even when humans screw things up so bad. This BP thing is SO serious, I don't know how things could get better. We just have to trust in the Big Guy that
He WILL take care of us, and things WILL get better. Somehow.

 

happy birthday to lil' jack!


yesterday i went down and looked at that jeep, its honestly every bit as nice as the one in the pic i posted yesterday, of course i fell in love . and i thought it had the 4.0 I6, turns out its got a 360 V8 took it for a drive, its a solid lil truck, no rattles eather. lights the tires up good too lol. it needs a tune up ( plugs & wires are 22 years old, lol.), and im sure it'll get 10 MPG or less, but i still wanna buy it. now i need $3,000

 

Just got word that my friend had to rush his 20 year old son to hosp last night. This is what he wrote last night:

My 20 yr old son is back in the hospital this time they think they got it right he has viral encephalitis, his brain has swollen, his has lost all ability to speak and has lost his fine motor skills. This is the first time in my life that I'm in fear of my childs well being. I know that I'm not the only one out there, ...but this is the first thing in my life that i can't fix or make disappear.

And this is what he wrote this morning on this Father's Day...

As I sat on the edge of his bed and reminded him of days past we had spent together and reminded him that I loved him, he reached over to me and touched my hand wanting me to hold his and at that point I lost it, a few tears rolled down my face and i told him I was sorry and that I was supposed to be his strength, he ...lightly squeazed my hand reassuring me that it was OK.

Please think of him and his son and family today.....thank you

mornin all it's way too early to be awake yeah it's like 9 but we ran into some friends at porkeys they live on the same road as us so they came over and we hung out till about 3... didn't go to sleep till 4
