I prefer Road Courses, but a circle track
gives many more the oppurtunity to absorb the
Rac'in Experience of Powerful Engines @ top
RPM's until they blow, or finish the Race.
To me, the sounds are the best Music.
The Sounds of Power, being control by talented,
gifted Drivers, with supporting Teams.

EnJoy your `Day, your Now

Hey everyone, how's it going this weekend? I spent the day at the Lane Automotive show with my wife LadyT and RJ and his G/F. GREAT day! It hit mid 80's, and just a perfect day. Last year they had about 1,200 cars. This year the place was jammed full, with some cars parking on the opposite side of the drive from the show. Someone said 2,000 cars, but I'm guessing 1,500. Largest turnout ever.
I took 358 pics, just a fraction of the cars. I'll post a few here, but head over to the shows thread in the next few days for a more complete thread. I THINK I got pics of all the Monte's there, but it's hard to know for sure. I know I missed at LEAST 1, but probably more.
Here are some teasers pics, starting with the top pull of the weekend, 810 whp nova:

Our cars:

The silver '06 Vette parked next to Lucy was a Ligenfelter prepped blown LS.
How about a new Camaro SS from the Illinois Camaro club:

I know i said it yesterday, but i'll say it again today. That car show looked like fun.

Whats up everyone. Just sitting here drinking my coffee hoping that i can go swimming today like i did yesterday. But its raining. So i guess its just going to have to wait another day.
I have nothing planned for today. Just hang out with my son while i can. While he still thinks that i'm kewl ( can you imagine ME being kewl?).

hey, all. me & my family drove the monte to a bar-b-q yesterday, ( i got the exciting role of designated driver, lol). the hosts had their aunt there, and guess what she drove? a white 03 monte SS! so we sat & complimented each others cars, had dowgs, burgers, steak & onions, and tater & macaroni salad. yum! we left around midnight, and i got a nice surprise when i flipped on the highbeams. ( i had not yet had to drive the monte at night) apparently i have HIDs !
i could see for what seemed like a mile.
wayne, it looks like you & rj had a blast, i cannot wait to see more pics!
space, to answer your question from yesterday, i still gots 2 more weeks of school
but im drivin the monte up
we probibly have another Bar-B-Q to attend today, heres wishing MCF members a great sunday!

Party/Drive/Smart
We need U & your Monte to stay in one piece : )
Have a fun day 2 U & Member's read'in this

Hey all. Yah, we had a GREAT time yesterday, with about 1,500 cars in attendance.
I PROMISE I'll get more pics up, but give me a bit to sort thru over 350 pics. I'll post at least 1 or 2 pics of every Monte I caught on camera, including this one for sale. Almost 900 whp, 1,300 bhp, 8 sec 1/4's. How much? $40k. All 1st notch equipment.

Hard to choose what to post, let alone what to take pic's of.

This guy is a firefighter just north of here, G. R. I believe. Don't tell me these guys don't know how to play hard!

Duane, here's 1 for you. There were 3 there, orange, red, and white.

And when's the last time you seen a PAIR of Judges at a show?

And for us 6th gen guys, here's a local guy. Haven't met him yet, but I know where to find him now. At a local Tues' cruise.

More to come.

very nice wayne!! that last monte you posted is very gorgeous. i don't get the yellow details, they look weird to me though? i love that paint color though.
watching the indy 500, they're currently 144 laps in (of 200). they just went green from the 6th caution. dario franchitti came in 2nd but will restart 8th as they had a problem with the fuel line during their stop. also vitor meira was on fire in the pits (!!!), they put it out and said he has some minor burns on his eyes but you better believe he's still out there! helio just took the lead on the restart (yay!), scott dixon is 2nd, will power 3rd, dan wheldon 4th, paul tracy 5th. danica is up to 9th but they just said ryan briscoe got an order to drop behind her, something to do with the restart, so she'll be 8th.
and guess what's pacing the field at this year's indy 500???
THIS GUY!!!!!!

yum!!!
speaking of yum...i'm hungry! i haven't eaten yet today because i can't pull myself away from the tv for long enough, between the yankees-phillies game (which is not going in my favor, currently 3-2 phils in the bottom of the 8th) and the race.
it's pouring raining here again (or still?? it feels like it never stops!) and the loudest clap of thunder i've ever heard is what woke me up this morning. the thunderstorm has seemed to have passed, but damn i am sick of the rain!!!
hope you all are having better weather (apparently jj and i are sharing crappy weather) than i and have a great day!!
