'Ello 'Space! I'm feeling unmotivated for working on a torino right now. I need to figure out how water keeps leaking into the drivers side floor pan. Don't want it getting hte carpet wet while it's on the road!

My dad called ,the service guys came out and my dad told them what was wrong. They said "No, can't be that!" and they started doing what my dad had already done (my dad used to be a diesel mechanic). Well then my dad kept telling them they needed to fix the pick up tube in teh gas tank and they kept on and on about how the computer was bad (computer was replaced last year), how the seperator had been bypassed (about 8 years ago, been running like that for awhile), how the cehck engine light was on (been on for about 9-10 months), and all. Then my dad told them what it was again and the one guy rolled his eyes and looked at his buddy and said "Well come on Reed, he knows more than we do, let's leave him to it."

So my dad used the bosses truck to get some fuel line from the KW place near where the truck is broken down, he ran a rubber fuel line straight from the fuel pump into the gas tank and it cranked and ran perfectly. Modern tech guys are just too by the book. I think Smokey Yunick was right when he closed his garage saying "There just aren't any good mechanics any more."

Hi all! Just the usual stuff today - clean house, do laundry and go food shopping. I've also been watching the Barrett-Jackson auction on the Speed channel since Monday.

 

 

So it would seem my monte is getting worse and worse. My Head light beams are royaly messed up. One of em looks good the other one is pointing to the right. My high beams point up, and yet my head lights are flush with the car. This has made me seriouly consider purchasing an 8k hid kit hoping that will solve my problem with that.

To top that off there is a short in my tail light, where they feel the will work when they want to. When im driving they wont work but when im pulling into the garage the work.

Other wise im exicted and i cant wait for spring because, my business is going to take off. Now with professional products on order nobody will stop me.

 

 

what should I do? is the question. I got up a lttle early today for me (10:30). oil needs changed in my car, but the guy I take it to isn't there today, also have go to sears for a new watch because I destroyed mine lastnight! it is a beautiful day today in Pittsburgh and I just sit here doing nothing. I gotta get out of this place. I'm going crazy, this computer has taken over my life???
