I'm just having a wonderful Christmas this year ( Can you hear the sarcasm in my voice? ).

Take care of yourself and slow down and give yourself time to heal. I will say a prayer you get better soon.

Inspirational Quotes For Difficult Times

This article is a collection of some of the most inspirational quotes I have come across. These inspirational quotes for difficult times may change your perspective towards life and give you strength to deal with these times. Read some of the greatest inspirational quotes ever and charge up yourself again!

Life is unpredictable and tough, just when you think you have got a hang of how it all works, it changes. Inspirational quotes can be life changing. Sometimes, when you are feeling down and out, one thought, one idea, can turn it all around for you. Some thoughts just make so much sense at times, as if they've been written for you. Write such thoughts down and keep them in front of you every time. Make them your inspirational mantras! These are quotes to live by.

These thoughts or mantras have power to lift you out of misery by putting things in perspective. That is because these inspirational quotes come from the depths of experience and wisdom. They are from people who have been where we are now. So here are some inspirational quotes for difficult times, which will stop the whirling chaos of thoughts and put you back on the path towards your goal!

Inspirational Quotes

Here is a small collection of inspirational quotes that I personally find very interesting.

"All that is gold does not glitter
not all those who wander are lost
the old that is strong does not wither
deep roots are not reached by the frost
From the ashes a fire shall be woken
a light from the shadows shall spring
renewed shall be blade that was broken
the crown less again shall be king."
- J.R.R. Tolkien

"Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time." - Thomas Edison

"Tough times never last, but tough people do." - Robert Schuller

"Arise awake and stop not till the goal is reached." - Swami Vivekananda

"I walk slowly, but I never walk backward." - Abraham Lincoln

"When the going gets tough, the tough get going." - Joseph Kennedy

Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. It is a very mean and nasty place and it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward. How much you can take, and keep moving forward. That's how winning is done. Now, if you know what you're worth, then go out and get what you're worth. But you gotta be willing to take the hit, and not pointing fingers saying you ain't where you are because of him, or her, or anybody. Cowards do that and that ain't you. You're better than that!
- Movie Quote from 'Rocky Balboa'

"It is not the mountain we conquer but ourselves." - Edmund Hillary

"Some of the greatest battles will be fought within the silent chambers of your own soul." -Ezra Taft Benson

"To conquer fear is the beginning of wisdom." - Bertrand Russell

"Once you make a decision, the universe conspires to make it happen." - Ralph Waldo Emerson

"Whatever you do, you need courage. Whatever course you decide upon, there is always someone to tell you that you are wrong. There are always difficulties arising that tempt you to believe your critics are right." - Ralph Waldo Emerson

"What lies behind you and what lies in front of you, pales in comparison to what lies inside of you." - Ralph Waldo Emerson

"Little minds have little worries, big minds have no time for worries." - Ralph Waldo Emerson

"Start where you are with what you have. Make something of it and never be satisfied. - George Washington Carver

"I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed." - Michael Jordan

"When everything seems to be going against you, remember that the airplane takes off against the wind, not with it." - Henry Ford

"The only thing that overcomes hard luck is hard work." - 4-Sure Harry Golden

"Obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it." - Michael Jordan<~ Thanks Michael ~> I like that one : )

"My attitude is that if you push me towards something that you think is a weakness, then I will turn that perceived weakness into a strength." - Michael Jordan

"The world breaks everyone, and afterward, some are strong at the broken places."
-Ernest Hemingway

"Never, never, never, never ever give up!" - Winston Churchill

Hope this collection of inspirational quotes for difficult times come handy, when you are down in the dumps. If anything came easy, it wouldn't be worth it. So I say welcome difficult times, they teach you a lot and ones you are through them, you will be a better person.

Well it's been a great day so far! Got to my frineds garage. B,sed for a few mins then started taking the tires off. Then checked out all the brakes. OMG!! 64,000 miles and she doesn't need brakes. My buddy says. You better check the floor boards. She has to be draggib her high heeled Boots to stop ! Well thats a load off my mind. Stands to reason. A lot of her driving is freeway. So on the way home. Stop where I always buy my tires to see another friend. Dave I need a rotation and balance on the wifes car. An hr later on the rd. Everything done and NO $$$ out of pocket. But now were headed out shopping . That will make it up right there. A left to do now is a oil change. Yahooooooooooo! Hey Sparky. I was looking at new baggers. I've had 3 so far. Most likely a street glide. BUT NOT NEW. Too much $$ for that. If I do get one. Thinking of painting it the same color as the Monte. But with a wide stripe right down the center of the bike. Front fender , faring, gas tank, and rear fender. I FAVORITE colors are RED & WHITE!. But that will wait till spring. I hope all of you have a s good a day as I'm SO Far. CCCCCCCC YA

Sounds good, Ricks. I was thiiiis close to buying a beautiful red Electra Glide Sport back in '91. I've never cared much for big bikes with all the bells-n-whistles - 'garbage trucks' as a riding buddy calls them. But I have always liked the bare-bones touring frame. Simple windshield, hard bags, and a luggage rack and I'm good to go. I've always favored / owned mid-sized bikes all my life. So I've never actually owned a full sized Harley, just the Sportster. They way I look at it, if I buy a full fledged touring bike, that will signify my acceptance of being an 'Old Guy.' I'm not ready for that yet... Something comfortable yet sporty (see pic below) helps keep my blood & adrenaline flowing and keeps me young.

I have my computer sitting on the floor of an unused bedroom. I can't wait to get to my new house so that I can have my "normal" setup... JJ, take care of that foot man. You put more more mileage on your feet than on most tires. And if you get a flat, you can't replace them.
