Micheal, congrats man. I remember when i proposed to Lisa, we ran off to Vegas the next day. Why wait. If its going to work out, then its going to work out no matter how long you have to wait. Been together for 7 years, married for 5 years. Best 7 years of my life.

Just a word of advice from someone that has been married twice already. You married your Wife, not your Friends. She will be there rich or poor. Your friends will be there while the beer flows.

thanks Space It is just very difficult making decisions for my mom and what is best for her. she was always in control and now my sister and I have a hard time making the right decision for her. we want her better but I don't think she will ever be her usual self anymore it hurts seeing her not able to take care of herself. I just got off the phone with her and she was talking all this crazy stuff, she said her roommate is kicking her out and I have to come and get her at midnight, it's just very difficult knowing that she is not very well and may have to be in an assisted living facility for a long time before she may have any chance of coming home...sorry for rambling and repeating but it is getting difficult to put into words...

 

Chris, hang in there and have faith in yourself to make the right decision. Also the right decision is often not the easy decision.

Greg, glad to hear you passed the hearing test. I remember taking one for the marines and thry told me I was hitting the button even when there was no noise being put though the headphones. Sadly, someone was knocking on the booth while I was taking the test so I had to retake it.

Im currently changing the water pump on my monte, its leaking and I know its old, I figure that foFO$40, its worth it to just put a new one on... especially since I don't really know how old it is.

 

I'm hanging (trying) in there... my sister is here and she went through a bunch of mail and we're in the process of trying to get my moms bills paid. she has about 10 or so credit cards and they all have a magic # of $2000 owed on them My mom had a decent income coming in with social security and my dads pension, but she would charge tons of home shopping network junk on them. This is not going to be easy at all, thanks for the suggestions Todd and everyone here on the forum. we also have some help from her financial guy who is giving us advice also...
