Okay, after spending 3 hours at the mechanic, I have my new inspection sticker!! yay for legal driving. And my steering wheel was fixed also (at no charge) horray! Now I have a fully functional car.

my dad and I just spent 4 hours cleaning both Montes, my 00 and his 06 SS, and I took a couple of pictures in the driveway of both. I'm using my phone (tethered to my laptop) for internet right now, so when I get back to Philly I'll make a thread

I'm home now, but I've spent the last several days at the hospital in West Branch with my 90 yr old Mom. She has had several mini strokes this week, along with the alzheimers problems. Blood pressure has been whacked out, also, which is part of the problem I believe, too. It was 177/36 Friday afternoon, with sugar checking just under 300. She fell Tuesday, at home, and Dad caught her having the 1st noticeble stroke Wednesday afternoon. She had another in the emergency room, one while I was with her Thursday evening, and another this morning while Dad was with her. Hard to say how many we haven't noticed. BUT, they are all mini's. She is weak, and confused.

I left her this morning at 8:00am, so I could head half way home to go to my cousin's husband's funeral. He was 64. Blood clot, they think.

Our Pastor headed back to Mayo clinic last night. Complications from the bone-marrow transplant. He isn't doing well at all.

I found out last night another cousin from the other side of the family had HER husband pass away yesterday.

ROUGH week! I'm SO glad to be home!

Hi `Wayne, (MemberRocknSSo4)
I can relate to your experience of loving & caring about those we love.
Living and being raised by my g/father & seniors, I've seen many that have faded with age and the illness faced with long times on Planet Earth. It is so difficult to see ones in your life in pain from the many complications of getting older .

My g/father's stroke was devastating to me & the bum's. He was the picture of health, and the Bum's & I could not keep up with him. It's difficult to see him down, but thankfully he is slowly improving.

May you faith keep you strong, and I am sure that you will be able to cope with the realities that life confronts all of us with.
You & yours will be in our thoughts & prayers. Stay Strong, and don't 4-get to EnJoy your own present......your `Now....oh, and your Monte "We first must take care of ourselve, so that we can take care of others we `love" `amen
Peace/Out `Space

Space,
We managed to stay up for the entire race. LadyT picked the winner, Mark Martin, so she did real good on her NASCAR fantasy league she's in.

We have a gentleman in his 60s at Church that a year ago, he had a MAJOR stroke. They were ready to pull the plug on him. We PRAYED him back, and he is now walking into church and functioning ALMOST fully. God granted him a 2nd chance. A chance to realize that GOD is in control, and a chance to get right with the Lord, as he wasn't before. God has shown you and the Bums that God IS good, and that family and God IS important, and the almighty $$$ isn't what life is all about. I pray that your Grandfather will have a recovery to where he can function close to what he did before. But he has you, and honestly, he couldn't ask for much more that that. You're a GREAT grandson, Space! And your G/F and the Bums are GREAT friends, AND your family. Both my wife and myself are adopted. It doesn't matter if your family is your biological brothers or sisters. THEY are YOUR family, and I KNOW you feel that they are your brothers, and you are one big loving and caring family, with your Grandfather being the centerpiece of your family. God bless you and your family, Space.

I can't consider LadyT part of the MCF family, unfortunately. She HATES my car, but I can't figure out why, except for all the electronics and stereo are a little complicated. That's why I got her the Solstice GXP. THAT made her a "Car Gal", and she does participate in some of the Solstice forums, as do I, also.

Here is LadyT with her Christmas present a year ago:
