MC Dale Earnhardt Intimidator up for auction
It will be interesting to see what happens with that. If you go to Barrett Jackson and buy one you can expect to pay a premium price for a car. But an online sale may be very different. I think I seen this one on ebay a few years ago and they struggled to get it sold. First at a 30K then at a 25K .
If this car would have been Rear wheel drive they would have went off the scale.

I bet all the people that held onto these things are super upset at this point.
These come up at Barrett-Jackson almost every year - maybe a different driver edition, but its always the same thing- near zero mile, perfect condition car right off the showroom floor.
But they all seem to end up like the below:
Take off the 8% commission, now you're at $27k, take another $1k to transport and insure the car there, now you're at $26k.
That doesn't even break even to the sticker on these back in the early 00s - not to mention:
-Taxes, title, registration, insurance for all the years
-Maintenance over the years (I see some with new tires, new battery, etc)
-Inflation. $30k back in 02 is the equivalent of well over $40k now.
Essentially these people are barely getting 50% of their 'investment' back and had to deal with storing and protecting a full car for two decades. That's a real kick in the teeth...

However, one with 36 miles on the odometer was sold at a Barrett-Jackson auction in 2015 for $29,700.

I see the bid's up to $22k now. After their 5% commission, that's about $21k. 2002 equivalent value is like $14k - not even half the $29.7k original sticker on this.
They better hope for a miracle at the last minute not to totally lose their butt on it.
