Good afternoon Monte Carlo drivers.
Hope everyone is staying safe and is well. Around here at the crossroads of 80 and 81 today is warm but windy. Been toting plants and dirt for Mrs Bickerson. Sick of that for sure.

Yesterday made the drive to the Capitol City and we looked for more plants, did a bit of Grocery shopping and I also went to the U pull it and checked out the Monte Carlo's They had a pretty good selection of 5th and 6th Gens. Most were all destroyed. I hate when the dummy's go inside the car and tear up the rear seat to hunt for money.
If they do that in front of me I will slam the door on them so they get a dent in the head.

Good morning guys.

Between working from home and doing yard work, I've been staying more than busy. Between Friday afternoon and yesterday evening I have spent probably 22 hours doing yard work - prepping the landscape beds for new mulch, turned the sprinklers back on, first grass cut, planting flowers and our vegetable garden, raking and seeding some areas of the yard and just received 12 yards of mulch which I started spreading yesterday. It never ends

And car-wise, three of the four shows I had planned (or at least on my radar) in June have been cancelled. Carlisle Chevy Nat'ls is still on for June 26-27 but I'm keeping an eye on that.

Good afternoon guys.

I hate this but, due to the current Covid-19 situation and yesterday's extension of the Governor's 'stay-at-home' order to May 28, we have made the tough decision to cancel the Michigan Monte Carlo Club Spring Meet scheduled for May 16. We believe it's in the best interest for all of us. As of now, we are moving forward with the Fall Meet plans for Saturday, September 19 at Seven Lakes State Park in Holly, Michigan (same location). Hopefully everyone does their part to improve the situation so we can 'gather' in the Fall.

All four of the events I had planned in May and June, leading up to Carlisle, have now been cancelled. And I'm honestly on the fence about attending Carlisle but I'm keeping an eye on it to see if anything changes and am going to wait til June to make that decision based on the situation.

Even if people are being careful, there's still the potential to spread in groups even with social distancing. That's mainly due to accidental or inadvertent contact or the lack of taking the guidelines seriously and adhering to them by some people. People's views on, and adherence of, the guidelines is all over the map so one person may not agree with another which introduces potential spread, not to mention conflict.

I can still count on my hands how many times this car has seen snow. But I'm sure this is a very first in the month of May...

This morning, taken only minutes ago...

It's only 43 degrees right now (25 degrees below where we should be now). Metro Detroit also got snow and it was like the most snow they've seen in May in almost a century. I'm not even that far east of you (even closer to Detroit) and I didn't get snow where I am. It was cold though; we had wind chills down to 18 degrees Saturday morning. We had to bring in all of the potted flowers we planted the weekend prior and cover some of the plants outside. Two more cold nights and then we start to warm up; Thursday on is looking like 70+ degrees and there's even some 80s in the near future!

Good morning guys.

Michigan had a LOT of rain Mon into Tues AM and has seen record flooding across the State. We got maybe 4" at home and most of that came during a 45 minute period of torrential downpour Monday afternoon. And yesterday, due to the excess rain, there was failures of two relatively close dams in Mid-Michigan just North of Midland - Edenville and Sanford. Edenville failed at 5:44 pm Tuesday followed by reports at 6:50 pm of water overflowing the impoundment at Sanford and then reports at 8:30 pm indicated failure of Sanford was imminent. That prompted flash flood warnings and evacuation orders in Gladwin and Midland Counties. Officials are calling this a 500 year flood and said Midland could be under 9' of water today.
