i joined a web forum for drivers trying to get some info on companies to go drive for.

Well i have actually been warned already this is within a week of joining.

they have a damed rule that i cant post a link there or return or send P.M.'s for at least 50post.

Tell me this is not the dummest damed thing i have ever heard.

I cant even reply to the person that p.m.ed me.

So i posted it in a way that allowed it to get posted with out triggering thier censor program.

So the mod of the fourm gave me a warning. GO FIGURE I GOT IN TO TRUBBEL!!!
Just dont see this happening. I a angel

There are more than a few forums around with silly rules, but that sounds like one of the worst to me.

 

I understand the part about no links until 50 posts. It should keep spammers away. The PM part I dont understand.

 

i guess it's mean't to keep spammers from pm'ing their crap to everybody.

still, if its pretty obvious that your'e tehre legit, it shoudln't matter. plus, your'e replying to someone who send a PM to you....

i'd understand having the rule as an excuse maybe, but enforcing it like this.....

Disboards.com has the same rules and it is to prevent advertisers and such from posting links and pics on thier boards. Disboards is all about traveling to Disney vacation sites. Very busy boards.

 

Yeah exactly what it was. Just was trying to get some insight on a few companies so i knew more info. to make a more edumacted guess.

But i understand the no photos. i can deal with that one.
but to not allow you to even return a post i thought was out right stupid.


I have delt with spammers on my site and i would not say it is fun by any means but at the same time i dont stop Legit members from doign anythign in the bord.
