Default lost brakes on S10

I was driving my S10 (Manard) from Lansing to Jackson MI to meet up with my partner to drive to Plymouth yesterday I pulled off the exit and NO BRAKES!

I parked the truck in Jackson and went to Plymouth with my partner. When I got back, a big puddle of break fluid was under the truck.

I limped back to Lansing after re-filling the master cylender (with no breaks to speak of) . My mechanic said the break line had rusted through and ruptured. So I am working from home he rest of the week.

My Dad's S-10 had the dust shield break and take out his rotor. He was stopping one day and heard a loud crunch. When we changed his brakes half his rotor was missing!!

Wow glad you made it safely. Those older s10's are good little trucks. I drove them for years and never had to do much more than general maintenance to them. Replacing the clutch was probably the most I ever put into one. I would like to pick one up again before too long.

It's a good little truck and we use it for winter driving, camping ect... any thing we don't want to mess up our Montes for.

Yep they are replacing all the breaklines I feel if one rusted through the others are close behind. He's got 145,000 miles now.
