I believe he is right. They have a 3.4 that is not supercharged. And the 3.8 SS are none supercharged, and they also have the supercharged 3.8, and I believe most of them are signature series. And there are tons, just look around. When you see a Dale JR SS, those and Brickyard 500 and such. Out of the 3.4, and the 3.8, it is easier to mod and customize the 3.8, but you can mod both, it is just very hard on the 3.4.

If you are just talking about the Montes - Chevy didn't make the supercharged version of the 3800 II engine available until 2004 and only built them for 04 & 05.

This.

However, supercharged series II 3800s showed up in the '97 GTP.

Grand Prix
GTP had the l67 from 97-2003
GT had the l36 from 97-03
SE- Had the 3.4 from 97-2000? then l36 from 00-03

Monte Carlo
Z34 and SS had the l36 from 96-05
The l67 Came in some SS's and I think all SS's in 05
LS had the 3.4 from 2000-2003 then the ls got the 3.8 as well in 04-05
