Thumbs down Look what I found... Leak!

Just noticed a leak and started investigating. Found out that the coolant reservior didn't get put back in the right place after header install. Was rubbing on the belt for the last few weeks and I just now noticed. The coolant is almost completely gone and the plastic is ALMOST melted completely threw. Called around tonight to try and find one but of course everywhere closes at 5-5:30 Guess it will be a cold ride in the morning.. Hopefully I can pick one up after school tomorrow night. Anyone know how I could seal it up tonight? Kind of need to get a project to class tomorrow morning so I may not be able to ride the motorcycle.

Despite my bad luck I did get trunk panel installed!!!!! Looks awesome, possibly my favorite mod to the car, thanks again Jarhead!

I'll probably get some better pics tomorrow after I fix the coolant reservoir.. Onstar box is gone too

I don't need the reservior? That's good news then.. I only drive about 7 miles total to school and back so you think it will be OK to drive for a day

You should put the hose into a small can or bottle to catch any over flow..

A coolant reservoir is a dual-purpose component. It provides the extra coolant the radiator and cooling system need in the event of a leak and prevents overheating. Usually filled to one third of it's capacity, the coolant reservoir provides storage for coolant when the radiator purges coolant as it heats up. When the system cools down, the radiator pressure reverses and coolant is siphoned from the reservoir back into the radiator.

Ok thanks! I'll rig something up to catch the overflow then
