Default Long Lost Pontiac Gets On Ebay! Un-Real!

Why couldn't this poor old guy have been my next door neighbor.
Tired of looking as a "Junker" in his garage; he hauls it out, takes a picture of it and puts the car on Ebay.
Opening bid: $500.

It takes a couple of days for the Hot-Rod Community to believe their eyes.
Once they were convinced that it was a real-deal, the money players got right in the game.

For Sale: 1963 Pontiac LeMans Tempest Super Duty -- $500.00

They only made 6 of these Light-weight, aluminum, over-powered, beasts!
Everybody knows the fellows who have 1, 2, 3, 4, & 5 by their Racing Team Names.

When the smoke cleared and he bidding was done, ... the old guy made quite a profit!
Winning Bid: $226,521 (And, it aint like you could drive the car in the condition its in.)

Enjoy the saga of this rare piece of Americana ... here:

WOW!!! I'm not surprised by the offer to end something early, only surprised it wasn't more deceptive than that. I put up some old star wars action figures once, knowing what I had was worth about $500 (picked up at a yard sale for about $8), and a man offered me $100 within 3 hours of posting to end early.

Looks like he won't need money for long.. unless he's in a whole lot of debt. Nice find!

Wow, that's quite a story.

Too bad the 'rare' 3.9L probably won't end up being worth anything, lol.

This was titled "Long Lost MoPar" because I fugged-did-up. Simple as that. I ain't the Pope. But, my Monte's got FelPro Lower Intake Manifold Gaskets.
