I have LCD, they're cheaper than LED from what I've heard. Just having a HDTV is a huge difference than the old school big clunky TV's that I used to have. I have bought 3 in the last year, great TV's, but I think LED and Plasma are the better of the 3 listed?

Definately LED. Shop around and compare the picture. You`ll see the difference real quick. One year ago i bought a Vizio 55", 1920x1080 pixels, 1080p with contrast ration 1,000,000:1 and i love it. Panel life is supposed to be 50,000 hours. We`ll see.....

LED is the latest technology and where you're going to get your best picture overall...
the thing with newer tech is it takes a while until it has had all the "bugs worked out"

LCD has been around long enough now to where it's at that point where the bugs have been worked out (below)

Plasma is crap... you have to worry about screen burn (which was also true with early generation LCDs)

LED or LCD is your best choice Plasma also has a short life they only last about 4 years, ive got a LG LED tv, LG is a good brand to go with, if your wanting to go big about 65" or bigger than a Mitsubishi dlp is the way to go, there cheap for the size & you dont have to spend 4 grand

I have 2 LCD TVs, because that was the new technology at the time when I was ready to outfit my place with TVs haha.

Plasma gives great colors, but they use the most electricity. The thing that is different about them, is that they show black with colors, as opposed to just not lighting up that area of pixels. Many newer ones have burn-in protection and they really don't get ruined.

LCD is the middle ground, they use less electricity and you can get good quality picture from them.

LED is great because they use so little electricity compared to the others. That's why LED lightbulbs are starting to come out. The problem is usually the price.

You can't go wrong with a high quality LED or LCD TV. Make sure the refresh rate is at least 120hz, and that the TV has enough inputs for you (I have 5 HDMI, 2 Component, 2 Composite, RGB, etc.)

The cheaper TVs usually don't have many inputs.
