Default Labor Day Vacation Pics

Thought I'd share some pictures of my trip up to our place on Houghton Lake, Michigan for the holiday weekend. Been going up to Houghton Lake every year since I was born. This is my favorite vacation spot! Some facts: Houghton Lake is located in the Northern lower peninsula and is Michigan's largest inland lake; just over 22k square acre surface area, five miles across and eight miles wide. Thanks for looking!

Dinner on the deck at the Limberlost Saturday night. If you have heard of Bud Bash, Limberlost is the host of that event every year... and yes we were at Bud Bash this year.

The clouds in these next four pictures are actually the North edge of tropical depression Isaac.

My other toy: our 2007 Glastron GXL 185, 4.3L Volvo Penta Vortec V6. Upgraded to a four blade prop in 2008. Tops out around 55-60mph on smooth water.

Labor Day morning (this morning).

The trip back home earlier today, south on I-75.

Looks like a great lake to boat on. I spent most of my time on Lake Saint Clair and worked at the Gross Point Yaht club a long time ago when I was a teen..

Our snowmobiles were purchased from "Spicers"....

I had to take a deep breath as if we had just arrived...

Thanks!

Great memories there...caught my first fish there!, Cleaned my first fish there too...As I recall I believe it was a "sun" fish! hehehehhe
