Those Sand Bags are like the giant plastic bag you get your groceries in now.

I saw them set those with a Helicopter when I was in Missouri a few years back and it saved the road kept the water from leaking thru. Sometimes they store them at a National guard facility full and ready to be placed.

I got the first of four bi-fold closet doors rehung yesterday. Took me way longer than it should have because the new tile floor is about 3/8" higher than the old linoleum floor. These explain how I felt when I was finally done with that first door...

Good morning guys, TGIF! Going to be getting some work done around the house this weekend.

Getting hot! We have air quality alerts and an excessive heat watch and I wouldn't be surprised if it upgrades to a warning (the west side of MI is under a warning). Where we are, heat indexes will near 100 degrees today through Sunday but tomorrow those indexes could reach 105. The west side of MI could reach 110. And, actually, Northern Lower Michigan could see the hottest temps - the ACTUAL temps could reach 105 which means indexes could surpass 110.

15 days til Michigan Monte Carlo Club's rescheduled "Spring Meet"!

A little music for your Friday - Depeche Mode's "Useless"

Good evening everyone . Another hot day here been nice compared to winter time. Spent most of day on the Monte finishing the punch list , just need to make a mount so the PCM doesn't fly around and mount a overflow tank for the radiator. Took it for a cruise and damm near lost it doing a.burn out should have tires this week so I can take for a good shakedown. Once I get the tire's and my racing wheels put on I will finally get to post a picture of my never ending project.

That sounds great I can't wait to see the photo's, what a kool build for sure. Takes some talent to tackle this type of project, on the Foose/Kindig level for sure.

Unhappy

Wow, quite the stormy night last night! We had 4 inches of rain from 8:PM to maybe 4:AM few branches down and I got the dreaded water in the basement, hate that when that happens, but when this rain comes in a deluge nothing keeps it in it's boundaries. Some in the old storage room that I should be able to contain with my rug doctor vac.

Back at it in a few minutes.

Thanks Dean, but don't think I'm at that level. I owe the people in the forums for keeping me motivated so I can finish the project. Sorry to hear about the water coming in the house, better get them fans going. Hopefully there's no damage.
