oh yeah, i wouldnt own a v6 camaro i can promise you this. and i am thinking maybe something like old school crager mags or something of the sort not sure yet, but it'll be a while seeing as how i just blew my savings on buying it LOL

I really like the '81-88 Montes and wanted an '86-88 SS bad. When I found my '86 I thought I had an SS till I got it home and realized it was an LS. But my money was gone.
The car grew on fast and soon I was looking for the missing parts I didn't get with it.
When we went to the '06 Monte Nationals in Nashville last june we rented an '06 2LT Monte that was an incredible car. In late summer I started looking for an '06 I could afford as I knew it'd be cool to own an '06 + '86 Montes. (20 years apart)
Plans are to take them both to the Monte Nats in cincinnati in late june.

 

on man no doupt, when i first got my monte i HATED it, but it grew on me and now its my mc haha, and i love the looks i get when people rubberneck to see what ive got... gotta get her in some shows but which ones...

 

Take your Monte to some local cruiise-ins. Most cost about $5 or so to enter and it's just a bunch of guys (N gals) hanging out. No stress or pressure of judging.

Some of the cruise-ins around my area are free. All it costs is the gas to get there. We have an un-official one on friday evenings at a BurgerKing. Kind of small in the fact only about 20-25 cars show up but it's just a bunch of guys having a good time talking cars, looking over what someone has done to their car, and eating BKs food.

Lots of people stop to look our cars over and the cops don't bother us.
