Default Interesting info about AC Delco?

I was reading a Wiki article about the Titan class rockets. Under the Titan II ICBM it stated how AC spark plug built the first guidance system for the Titan II rockets. It also states that the first guidance system was replaced by the Delco USGS (Universal Space Guidance System). It cant be a coincidence that these two names were associated with the same type of missle guidance technology. Does this mean that AC Delco, the company that made most of the factory parts for our cars, once built missile guidance systems for the US military? No wonder AC Delco parts are so much better quality than other replacement parts. lol

possibly, but you cant trust wiki all the time. a kid once gave a speach in class and thought richard suckton was the first person in america. read it aloud too because he found it on wiki and thought it was true. i could edit that and make it say they created the atomic bomb if i wanted..

Come on guys! World War II. EVERYONE did military work. There weren't any cars produced because everyone was maing either tanks, trucks, airplanes, or weapons.
Dad was in Europe during WWII, and LadyT's Dad was in the Pacific.
