It's a lot better 4 me then the Norton program I had.

I hope one of our computer tech member's can advise

Space, it's one of those viruses that tags your computer then starts posting 500 messages: "Your Computer Is Infected" (only cause they JUST infected it) so please buy our anti-virus program to clean your computer.

I found the program (tewfsystem) but it won't allow me to remove it. I tried.

Oh. And our anit-virus was outdated. That's how this junk attacked our computer. Up till yesterday the firewall had done a good job of keeping a lot out.

No.

Resetting to an earlier date won't work. As system restore won't run.

Go down to best buy and see if they can do anything with it if you bring it down. I know they offer alot of services if you bring your computer down, im not sure if removing a virus is one or not. Would be worth asking tho, it would definately be cheaper than buying a new computer.

Lol! I was getting ready to offer that same advice!!!

Hey RJ, try AVAST. It's free. Download it to your friend's pc, load it unto a mem stick, install it in your pc and let it do it's magic. You may need to, after installation, to go into safe mode and run the AV ware. It should get rid of most of the infection until the program can go back oin line and actualize itself and destroy all remaining infected data.
