Default I-Phone 4S issues

I've had my iPhone since November. It used to tell me low battery at 20 percent battery left and then again at 10 percent and I would plug it in to charge when it got to less than five percent. Last week it started acting goofy and the phone shut down before I got the ten percent warning. It starts shutting down now with more and more battery life. Tonight it shut down like it had a dead battery with 31 percent battery life. Does anybody have similar issues or know of a fix. It really pisses me off.

old firmware will result in the phone shutting down sometimes, this is why they make the updates tho, for android that is.

I can't stand apple, if I were you I'd trade that iPhone in for something android based and get the best thing for your money, not something middle of the road like apple.

but like said before you should be able to warranty that out

Gregg I looked around on Google a bit and it seems that the 4gs randomly shutting down is a common problem and everyone just takes them in to the apple store for a replacement.
good luck

Thank you for your replys. I took it to Verizon earlier this week and they did an update and a reboot. It fixed the other issues I had but not the shutting down. I guess I will be stopping at an Apple store. That sucks though because the closest one is in Brandon or on the other side of Orlando and I usually don't go near either one.

I went to the Verizon store this afternoon when Susan got home from work to get the issues addressed with my iPhone. I described the issues to the woman at the counter and explained that I had been there earlier in the week with the same issue. My phone was at 65% battery. She said that she had to see it power off before she could do anything and because it happens at 35% there was nothing she could do. I said give me the phone and I would run it down. I started watching video clips to run it down. When I had the phone down to about 40% she asked where it was at and I told her. She told me they were closing soon and could not keep the store open longer waiting on me. I got the phone down to 36% percent and showed it to her and said it would shut down any moment. Anyway it didn't shut down and it was at 33%. She told me I had to leave. This is a freestanding store. I left the store, got into the van and starting backing away. The phone went to 32% and shut down. We drove back up to the store and I knocked on the door. The woman came to the door but wouldn't open the door. She said they were closed and there was nothing she could do. I told her she could verify the phone powered down. She said she didn't see it happen and couldn't verify anything. It has been a long time since I have had the urge to hit a woman. With her I had the urge. See really pissed me off.
