I Met Richard Petty!!!!!

So who would have ever thought?!?!!?! Here in my hometown is a restaurant called the Silo, not really an upscale steakhouse, but it will probably cost two people around $30-40 if they don't have any of the wines. So my family and I were just seated, as I was just back from college today when none other than RICHARD PETTY walks into the restaurant, stopping by on his way from Charlotte to Richmond!!!!!!! Along with him was Dale Inman, Petty's crew chief during most of his 200 wins and 7 championships, and another man who we believe was John Andretti. I had him sign one of the paper place mats that are at the tables there at the restaurnat. I CAN'T GET OVER THIS!!! HOW COOL IS THAT!??!?!?!?

Cool! I met him once as a kid at a fan club birthday party for him. Woulda been cool to get him to sign the Torino!

AWSOME!!! its wild who you meet at local resturants, you usually see more interesting people there than at macdonalds, for shure.

Now that is so kewl man. Like everyone said, you should have gotten him to sign your Torino. Better yet, you should have told him about your car and see if he could sign it after your done restoring it. now THAT would be really kewl.

Yeah... signing hte torino would have been cool. The problem is, the interiro is stripped, nothing to sign!!! (that isn't going to be sanded down and painted) And it was a 15 minute drive away, kind of impractical.

Petty drove a '69 Torino, not the '68 that I own.... so I don't know if he would be up for signing ti or not, or if it would be worth anything extra if he did sign it.

I'm glad you got a chance to meet the "KING" of Motorsports! I did the Petty Experience a few years ago, and have his picture next to my picture, me being all suited up and ready to rock!
