Congrats to the newlyweds. It is nice that the old car hobby is ingrained in your family structure. It should live on in future generations.

With that young bride by his side he had all the heat he needed. Lol. I hope he gets more seat time dad. It would be awesome if the car was available to bring grandchildren home from the hospital in.

lougreen03 02-13-2012 10:56 PM

It's a really nice car. Have you ever done a thread about it. If not you should. I'd like to hear more about the history of it and see more pics.

I learned to drive a 4 speed in this vette when I was 17 ..:)
Now Iam 51.., I can still hear my dad saying to much gas..:rotfl:

mousehousemoparman 02-14-2012 08:56 PM

Before I got the devorce I had a friend that has a 78 Pace Car Vette with a 4 speed. I completely restored the interior for him. I had the interior completely gutted and for a few minutes panicked and said to myself "oh God what did I do"? I told Ken that I had never driven a Corvette. He told me when I got it back together I could take it for a ride. I got it all back together and it looked awesome. I still have yet to drive a Corvette. It is amazing how your friends pick sides and become unfriends in a devorce.

That is awesome that you have the same car. I turn 50 this year and didn't keep any of my old cars. Most of them were bondo buggies that went to the crusher when I finished with them. There were a few that I let slip away that we're not though.

The 63 would have been awesome but the 69 is very nice too. Imagine a 69 Vette for 2800. Wow.

Speaking of '63 split windows...Saw an episode of American Pickers where some guy picked one up for $3200 around 1973 and it just sits in a room under a pile of dust with a bunch of vintage scooters, motorcycles and some other cars.
