You have to becareful of how much you ask for with an 8 year old car. Insurance companies much rather declare it totalled, than fix it.

He should be good till about $7000 than it gets on the edge of total or not, usually 75% of the value on older cars

I keep forgetting how old our cars are. It really doesnt seem like my Monte is 10-11 years old...

Ha that will never happen, I dont care if its a brand new car. Will just be wasting your breath asking.

Glad you are ok. Definately check behind the bumper cover for damage to the beam and the rear panel. Does take much to crush in the rear panel on a unibody car.

sucks to hear, i've been hit in my monte but it was merely a bump. Atleast the damage is hopefully minimal and you're ok. Girl that hit my horizon was texting

You never know until you ask. The worst thing they can tell you is no. We got our 08 Avenger repainted after a fender bender that was my stepfathers fault... Just paid the deductible and got the whole car repainted...

Aaaarrrggghhh! That sucks! Glad to hear no one was hurt. I spend as much time looking behind me as forward when riding for fear of getting run down from behind. Far too many careless / clueless people behind the wheel.
