shety deal, pawn shops around here wpn't take somthing unless it has a seriel(idk how to spell...) #, i would say just go the local pawn shops and ask them if they have had any one turn in any ps3's and if they could check for the serial # bring it with you, you will probably need proof of purchase too

I thought about the PS3 login, but I just went online and changed my password to keep him from logging in. I figure that the IP would be traceable, but it would require co-operation that I'd never get out of ISP's, etc. I though it better to just keep him from downloading chargable content since the PS Network has my credit card info saved.
It hard to describe my door situation. I live in the upper of a house. There is an inside hallway/staircase which is not locked before my locked door. This means an intruder is indoors, and out of sight of neighbours, before he even has to start working on the door. He could just pound and pound on the door for hours until he was in - no one would notice or hear a thing. Downstairs is unoccupied right now. I did have a deadbolt which he broke - it was a fairly solid door, but the frame and the door itself are all splittered up now.

I would think pawn shops would help as they dont want stolen material. I would give them pics of the jewelery if you have it and serial numbers to the PS3. Sorry to hear about this. There are some crappy people out there. Probably will only get worse. Let this be a reminder to all of us that we are not exempt from stuff like this. I dont even think I have a serial number written down for ours. My wife leaves her jewelery laying around too. Good luck on getting your stuff returned.
