Bump for our members to check in

We are all fine here. Power never went out luckily! Lots around us did. The brook behind our apartment is flooded and the flooding is only getting worse, but we are high enough.

The Monte is okay. Tons of leaves and twigs all over it though, so probably some minor scratches but nothing big hit it. Maybe I'll be able to wash it tomorrow.

Hope your safe in North Carolina, live in connecticut and the shore line got hit the worst. But not like down south. I live about 20 miles west of Hartford, and we got about 8 inches of rain and wind gust up to 60 mph. I got lucky and never lost the power.Shes heading on out now, but still getting the strong winds.

Checking in from Long Island NY, everything good here, no major damage. Except for the part where I almost lost the Monte. Thankfully I evacuated to a relatives house. I found out this morning that a large tree was uprooted and dragged down the street, right where I park the Monte. It would have been destroyed if I left it here. All is good though.

Checking in

Lots of folks around here lost power, trees were downed, shingles taken off roofs, sheds blown over, gutters & siding ripped off. The wind was terrible. A few tornadoes around the area. We got lucky here, the wind pushed the water from the nearby sound out farther, and over the beach...

Scary, that's for sure... We are very lucky it weakened as much as it did. Lots of folks still without power as well. I'm just thankful it wasn't as bad as it could have been.

lol thanks Mike

I thought it was funny, we were watching the news of course when the eye of the hurricane was near southeast VA, they were saying there were no lightning strikes near the eye, which was odd. We had a few lightning strikes. Liars. lol
