How many miles have you driven in your life ?
Hi Member's,
How many miles have you driven in your
lifetime ?
================================
I got my license when I was 15 & have been driving just over
7 years, but I mostly never really drove that much around my
beach village.. I only went to the mainland a few times a month. I guesstimate that I've driven approximately
20 K miles...Now, since I'm working 2 warehouses, I'm
driving about 50-60 miles a day.

2nd Question
What is the best vehicle that you've driven ?

Well... I began driving with parents Suburban and it had nearly 200,000 on it at the time. We sold it at 257,000, and I'll estimate that I drove about half of those miles, which is a conservative estimate. So that's about 26,000 miles there.
I drove the pick up truck to high school... probably drove it 10,000 miles before getting hte Monte Carlo in '07.
Then the Monte Carlo I got at 80,000 and I currently am over 116,000, so that's 36,000 miles.
My Torino I reset the odometer on when I restored it. I have driven it about 2100 miles now.
I drove the old '50 Chevy about 2500 miles.
Our current '94 Chevy Silverado I've driven about 1000 miles.
And then my parents minivan... I'll say I've driven about half the miles on it since I drove a lot of the major road trips and drive it on weekends when I'm home. We got it at 35,000 and it's at 78,000 now. So that's 21,000 miles.
All in all, that comes up to 98,600 miles in 6 and a half years of driving if you count my years on a learners permit. I may have already driven 100,000 and not know it. I may not be even near 90,000 is I'm off... but either wya, I think I'll be over 100,000 by summer sometime.... I've driven across 13 states and Ontario. The most interesting place to drive is Canada near Niagara Falls. They don't believe in lane ends signs... your lane just ends! PAy attention or drive in the ditch. Blinking green lights mean left turn right of way..... lots of fun!
The easiest car I've ever had to drive was either the Ford Taurus in drivers ed or my Monte Carlo... both are very forgiven and very easy to drive.
The best as far as fun to drive... the Torino, of course!! It's trickier to drive without power brakes, power steering, no radio, no a/c, and it's not as forgiving of a car... but it's more rewarding to drive

Considering I have driven since 16 and that puts 30 years of driving, I have had 3 work trucks and that alone is 300k. I would have to guess at least 400K miles with no exageration. You guys are making me feel old and now you know just how old that is. I would have to say I enjoyed driving my 74 Grand Prix SJ the most. It was burgany with white landau and white interior with cragars and 60's around. I had it in High school and for some time after. Enjoyed my 70 Monte, had that in High school too. Another fine ride was my 79 Camaro, but really I have had so many cars its hard to remember. I used to buy one every year to restore while I was laid off in the winter. Kept me occupied. Havent done that for a while. Anyways lots of miles on me.

Well I know I'm too young to have nearly as many miles as a lot of guys on this forum. But if you want someone to top them all, lets bring my old man in here. In the three trucks he has OWNED in his trucking career, which he has owned for about 30 years and drove "the other mans" truck for about 5, he has put about 5,000,000 between a '75 White Freightliner, an '85 Freightliner, and a '95 Volvo. If you count up his cars, the other mans truck... maybe another million, no idea.
