What a fun thread to revive! I don't know how much I'll be memorizing what everybody has had, but it's a fun trip down memory lane in more ways than one. To me, it was great to re-read posts from old friends who we haven't heard from in years - kinda like them revisiting us. Its also fun to remember the old rides - it was a long trip to get to the point where I have the awesome stable that I do now. My first few cars were older than I was...

'74 Mercury Comet
'77 Ford Thunderbird
'72 Mercury Comet
'83 Pontiac Firebird
'82 Yamaha RD350
'86 Plymouth Reliant
'86 Honda Prelude
'96 Dodge Neon
'87 Buick LeSabre
'88 Cadillac Fleetwood D'Elegance
'92 Buick Roadmaster Woody Wagon
'04 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS Dale Jr. Signature 2013 MOTY Edition - wow!
'98 Buick Regal GS
'95 Ford Bronco
'04 Volvo v70
'13 Ford Fusion

... in that order kinda. I didn't love them all, but I did love most of them. Technically, I have only had my name on the ownership of 9 of those cars. The K car, embarrassingly, was the first one ! I sold it after 6 weeks because it was so unimpressive, even tho it was practically new. The Fusion is the only one I've owned since new.

Tom & Kim Ferguson’s - 2013 ZL1 Camaro !

Tom & Kim’s Story:

I’ve loved the Camaro ever since I was a Kid. My oldest sister married a guy with an Orange/White 68 SS Convertible. It was a beautiful car….. even if he was towing snowmobiles in bad weather.

In 1996 I bought myself a Black Z28 with the SS package by SLP. That was the car of my dreams, and it ran like a dream as well. Unfortunately, I couldn’t afford to keep it when I became a single father and I traded it in for a more practical Cavalier Z24. Then I married Kim and the next car was a 06 Monte Carlo SS, and by now GM had quit making the Camaro.
I was quite excited when I heard about the return of the 5th Generation Camaro, but with the economy going bad and then a layoff, I decided to wait. Then I heard the ZL1 was coming, supercharged and 580 HP. WOW !!!
Our kids are all grown up now and we have 5 beautiful granddaughters. When we decided to go car shopping, Kim asked if I really needed the extra 150 HP, but she knew what the answer would be…. Yes! Of course!
I placed an order with the options I wanted, and it was a long long wait for Spring to arrive. The Camaro is everything I expected, and maybe a little bit more. It’s got lots of get-up-and-go and all the creature comforts. It is the best handling car I’ve ever driven on winding roads. I will be putting it away for the winter and I think that it’s going to be a long wait for spring again.
