This morning i had gone out to take Jonny to school and got a bad surprise. The trans started slipping first gear. I checked the oil and it was fine. I have no idea what the previous owner did, so it might be the original trans.

So after a bit of talking with Lisa, its going to be put up for sale. If the trans totally goes out before i get to sell it, then i will either part it out or just junk it. With me being unemployed, we dont have the money to fix it. Even if i was to get me a used tranns, i have no place to work on it. I might also put it on Craigslist to trade for a truck.

SO with that said, i will go ahead and back out of the forum. I will visit once in a while, but i have to worry about other things first.

JJ, I understand your need for reliable transportation. Please don't leave the family as we need you around here. The monte was just a vehicle that brought us together, but the the friendship is what binds us.

jj, that is just awfull to hear, i wish i had a way to ship vehicles down your way, i'd be scoping stuff out right now! your a good guy & you really dont deserve all of the curve ***** life has been throwing you lately, but whatever happens PLEASE dont back out of the forum compleatly, i wanna know that things get better for ya!

and if you leave, who is gonna moderate the popcorn? without you, we are gonna wind up with a bunch of hard, unpoped cernels laying around, compleate chaos!

Sorry to hear about your misfortune JJ. I know what its like to feel over-your-head with repairs. Maybe its worth trying a cheap fix like a Lucas Transmission treatment. I'm not big on additives, but its worth a shot. If you can't afford that, PM me you address and I'll ship you a bottle no charge.

Either way, we still need you buddy! Who's going to do our signatures without you?

 

Ah man, I hate to hear that. Youve been a great contributor to this forum. Just because you are getting rid of your car doesnt mean you need to leave the forum. If you cant be on on a regular basis, at least pop in now and then. Good luck with everything.

JJ, my moms brother, my uncle said that Goodyear is doing real good in the Lawton area, are you near there or not? i just looked up Goodyear in Lawton, OK and a bunch of jobs came up on yahoo, check it out if you get a chance!
