Very interesting observation : )
I understand Moderator Wiz Kidd's reasons, but I also like his replacement : )
It's a freak'in HEMI 
I love cars.....all types, but I really like the Monte Carlo (all years).
The price is right, and they all offer their own unique design/equipment.
Mod `Mickey is in the position that I was in with my LT3 : (
Sometimes, you just have to give up for other reasons...ie $'s
My LT3 payment + increase Insurance + increase college fee's forced
me to make the hard decision to sell : ( [X(][X(][X(][X(][X(][X(][X(]: )
But, I will be back into a Monte V-8 SS soon : )
Even though it's will be older then I, she has been treated with respect, and
really maintained by the previous deceased one owner.
Moderator Montejass still has his awesome Monte Carlo, but had to give
his keys to his wife, since he purchased his Cruz'in `bike : )
He says he still gets to drive the Monte : )
I do my best not to knock other cars, because I do like so many : ) My
problems seems to be that I like cars that are way out of my price range,
but I do `dream a lot......`ok.....all the time : )

I love my SS...even go down tothe garage just to stare at it from time-to-time, which I haven't done since my Mark VIII. My wife thinks I'm crazy, of course, but after 31-years I really don't care what she thinks. 
In August, 2010, I am going to buy a Hemi Challenger with every option available (assuming they're still beingmanufactured). The color will be "Plum Crazy",or whatever they're offering at the time that's close to that color. Until then,my SS gets my full attention and adoration. I can tell you that whoever ends up with my SS in 2010 is going to be one lucky SOB, indeed - it will be as nice as any four-year-old high performance car can be.

I hope I never have to get rid of my 2006.... course with my luck as soon as it's the way I'll want it I'll end up having family to support and carry around... so I will just have to update the monte instead of selling it. Because seriously, I haven't met a 4door that could compare with the monte... And I'm not just talking style, I'm talking room too, sure it's a smidge harder to access the rear seat... but it's a well-worthy trade off.

I can't get rid of mine, if i wanted to(not that i do) I owe too much money to break even on!
Plus i love it im into it till at least 2011.5 maybe then upgrade to an SS since i wont have to drive as much for my new job. Ive loved monte carlos since i was a kid those 80s monte carlos are just so wicked looking and demand respect from anyone. New ones too, i really have always liked the tail light design

unless something happens to it 
i paln to keep mine until it dies, or until i have a family which is probably a good 7-10 years from now... so i'm here to cause trouble and raise hell for awhile
