i don't know if you guys have this store in your area, but just letting you know there's a sale on an aluminum low profile car jack. i just pick one up for $59.99 plus tax. this would be good for any lowered monte owners. or guys going to track. i know pepboys selling theirs for $130. $120 at jegs the last time i looked. there's a coupon on march Hot Rod magaizine you need for the sale price. if you don't want to buy the magazine just tear off the coupon at the magazines/books stand or grocery store, but don't get caught, LOL.

LOL, that's one way to get a discount! Do you know which month's edition of Hot Rod Mag was the coupon in? (Not that I would do such a thing)

That's a pretty nice buy. I know you pretty much can't squeeze a standard floor jack under those lowered cars.. I was helping a friend with a mustang one day and he couldn't even drive his up on a set of ramps. What I ended up doing was finding some boards, driving him up on those, and then sliding a jack under the car.

harbor freight rules. end of story

now, im not sure if that lo-pro jack would work for as long, but i can attest to the quality of a harbor freight jack. the jack i use at home is one my dad purchased from harbor freight about 25 years ago, and it still works great! not only does it still function great, but they still sell them! of course, they are a lil more $ now, but still a great buy IMO, 'caus if they last 25+ years, well thats a great investment!

I own a nice low-profile jack for my Monte. It's a 2-ton capacity though, I see that one is only 3k pounds. Not a big deal though, strong enough for the Monte. They work great.

I couldn't even drive my car onto a set of ramps, which is why we went with the jack. Remember your set of jack-stands though!!!

I usually lay a pair of 2x8's in front of my car and then the ramps to drive mine up on ramps. It can be done, you just have to be clever about it

My dad bought a floor jack 30 years ago from Sears and it still works great. The other day it wasn't pumping as well as it used to.. just poured more hydraulic jack oil in it!

I used my parent's garage, drove out of the garage onto blocks onto the ramps and still scraped the bottom a little

Is your Monte lowered? You might have a steeper set of ramps than I do. I bet it's fun to change the oil... of course you could just use a jack instead I guess....
