hello fellow members. I have a 04 dale jr monte. ive had my thoughts about selling it but i kept thinking that it is a collector car, well a week ago my wifes manager offered me 10k for my monte. dale jr is her fav driver and she really wants it. i told her that the blue book wasnt that high but she was like just fix some of the problems and she would give me the 10k. what do you guys think?

 

how many miles on it? :p and what problems is it having?

 

Sell it, buy another supercharged Monte and pocket the $3k difference lol

It depends upon what the problems with the car are, but I think I would sell. The signature Montes were sold as collectible from new and many have peen put away from new with no miles. It will be a long time for them to be valuable if ever. The same thing happened with the 1978 Corvette Pace Cars. They have been hovering between 15K and 25K depending on equipment and condition for the last fifteen years. I don't see their value increasing significantly anytime soon because there are too many of them.

 

you have to remember that cars have more plastic parts and thinner metal. so by the time it should be a collector, or worth more than it was new, it'll be as deteriorated as your pappie's favorite underwear.
