I just think it is a riot that someone A. went out of their way to do that and B. the satalite just happend to be going over at the right time.

Oh they must have known about it somehow. You don't go and draw a picture that would be almost worthless from the ground, but is obvious from the sky unless you know for a fact it will be seen.
