Myself... I like the cowl hoods that the older vette's had. With a 3 to 4 inch rise. But not sure how that would look on your M/C.. The way our hoods slope downwards some of the newer vette hood could be made to work on ours. So when is this NEW LOOK going to be ready for your PUBLIC ?

 

The hood itself is not changing Rick just the paint on it.

Mason Auto body tells me it will be done close of busness thisTuesday coming up.

Paint shop has the Deuce now... Painter says next friday for the car... Has to get a stenceil made up for the hood.

Ok since the painter said I can't have the car back until next friday and this thread has gotten out of controll I will spill ....

The hood paint mod is one of three mods to be done to the car

The gold strips will remain although altered in size and deminsion.
The text LS4 5.3L will be added within the stripe parameter but still within the stripe without exceding the bounds of the stripe. It will be placed closer to the cowel of the hood than the front of the hood.

The painter needs to order a stencil. The font will be similair to that used on Chevy Corvettes. I have not seen the excat font but have a genral Idea and trust the shop. The reason for the extinsion of time needed for the car is becuse the stencil needs to made up.
