Gone but not forgotten
Ok Im not sure if anyone has started a thread like this but Ill start this anyway. Are there any cars or trucks you no longer own, either because you sold it or it was wrecked, that you wish you still have?
For me, I deeply miss my 93 F150 I had before the monte. I loved that truck and it was always good to me. Plus I miss the rumble of a V8 and 4wd. Im still glad I got the monte, but if I had it my way I would be driving both.

RE: Gone but not forgotten
I've had many, but here's a few:
My 1st car, '64 Impala SS, blue w/white int, 283 w/powerglide
2nd car, '65 Mercury Comet, dr green w/black int, 289 hi-po w/4-speed
'61 F-100 unibody, blue w/black int, 428 police interceptor drive train, FAST!
'66 Mustang fastback, red w/black int, 289 w/4-speed
'67 Mustang coupe, dr blue w/white int, 302 w/auto
the one I passed by at 16, a friend of a friend's '66 Plymouth Fury, 426 street hemi w/4-speed, $800, wife was pregnant.
and oh yeah, the '68 Shelby 500 for $1,800
Sometimes I just get lost in these handful of memories, ESPECIALLY the '61 pickup. That thing was making about 500+hp with a C-6 and highway gears. I had it to about 160 when I realized how stupid I was, but it still had another 1000rpm's and was still going strong. THAT'S the vehicle I street raced in. Big wheels, hood scoop, headers w/ pipes coming out the sides. Straight axle and manual steering. That was one MEAN ride.

RE: Gone but not forgotten
Wow Im suprised I didnt find that thread. I even typed in "gone but not forgotten" and "old cars"in the search bar to see if anyone had actually done it, and I got nothing. I guess there is no need to post on this thread then. I thought id post something cause I was looking at old pics of my old truck on my photobucket earlier.

RE: Gone but not forgotten
I can't help but feel bad about selling my first car ever, a Teal 1995 2.2L I4 Beretta. SHe was the start of what I hope is only the beginning of a long list of Chevrolet Coupes. Honestly, that car had more mods then all my cars since... My only defense was that I was a bored college kid with more credit than sense.
Second Chevrolet Coupe was a Red2003 LS 3.4L V6 Monte Carlo. I'd still love to have that car, but from what I understood of the models that had the intake gasket problem, they all usually started around that time (70k miles), just like the problems with the Catalytic convertor started around that time as well. Hey.... I wonder if the two are related perhaps? Come to think of it... I was mysteriously loosing small amounts ofcoolant, and having the funny shifting problem when I sold the car.... (don't tell my dealer, lmao!)
Actually It's not as bad as it sounded, the disappearing coolant was due to a leaking radiator (replaced before I soldthanks to an aftermarket warranty) and the shifting problemwas intermittent at best, and probably nothing more than the commonly clogged cat.
That car gave foot to my current ride. Each upgrade brought approximately 60 morehorsepower, and lost about 4 miles per gallon. I'd be darned if I wouldn't be quick to give up another 4 mpg for another 60 horse.... that's SS territory right there! After that? who knows.... Vette perhaps? Better get one soon, EPA will be killing 200 HP plus engines shortly... *FRACK THE EPA*
