It,s true he is the 1st african / american Prez That being Mom was a American college student and Dad was a African transfer who enjoyed the company of and partying with white chicks and low and behold "pop" goes the weezel and we have Barrack whom we are told was born here and raised basically in the white upper class community. so overcomming adversity? all I'm sure of is he can lay claim to either race but only one seems to go nuts over him to the point they've just about written a legacy that has'nt been earned....The Jarheads opinion......No apolagies..

Well, one thing going for him, Obama himself thought it was a joke. He was wondering why also. So what's that tell you about the people doing the selection process.

After thinking about it, Barack is kinda on the spot with this. If he says he doesn't deserve it and turns it down, he looks bad. If he says he does deserve it, he looks conceited and everyone turns on him asking "Why?"

So while I'm happy for President Obama that he won. I think the selection process was flawed. I blame them for making the wrong choice. It was too early in his term as President to select him right now.

Agree with Taz, despite how you feel about him it's not Obama's fault that he won. Don't understand how the 5 people on the committee could have picked him with the brief time he was in office, then again this is the same award that Arafat received.
