Default GMC Syclone

I do some yard work for this one person, and he said he had a GMC Syclone but I had never seen it before. He keeps it in storage most of the time, but he decided to take it out. I finnaly saw it today, man is it sweet. For those of you that don't know, the Syclone is a street version of the S-10 pickup. It has a 4.4L V6 Turbo that makes around 270HP and goes through a 4wd system. Since its such a light weight truck the performance is great...0-60 in 4 seconds. The interior is spiced up a bit and it has a slight body kit on it that looks good. Just thought I would share. Here is a pic of what they look like.

Has anyone else ever seen one?

i remeber when those and the typhones came out. they were a special order on some of them .

they were fun to get in to a race with you knew most of the time you were at best only going to give it a run but not beat it. but still fun to watch that lil truck come unglued trying to get traction LOL

Thanks for the memories.

Would love to know what is in that motor now and see if anything would cross to the 3.8 v-6 we have,

there has to be a way to build more ponies out of the 3.8 with out having to win the lotto to do it.

The person who owns the Syclone also has a Typhoon as well. There were 3000 Syclones made and I think 6000 Typhoons.

Yes thats what I was thinking. The performance models GM offers today aren't nearly as cool as the older models were.

I thought the typhoons and syclones were V-8 models, no? I almost bought one about 3 years ago. Guy was moving and needed to sell it (typhoon) to have money to move. I had a 350 in it. I guess it was a custom job?
