Hell guys even a Harley isn't made entirely in the states any more[:@]

I hate it now people have the idea that the U.S. can't build
quality cars anymore,......and maybe there right but you'll not
get this fat boy on that band wagon

I wouldn't bet on GM not producing cars in China.

The bottom line rules as far as they're concerned. If they can figure a way to make the cars over there for $2,500 and sell them here for $25,000 they'll do it.
(GM can ship cars into this country without wheels/tires and get away from paying import taxes on them)

Has anyone else heard Hersey's (chocolate) is moving to Mexico?
Last $0.10 they get from me.

China probably won't let them produce cars there anyways. China is sending cars over here starting in a couple of years.

That's the way auto insurance treats them as well.

An example is the Escorts, Chevettes, Dodge Shadows/Sundances. They were sold cheap and if they got any damage to them, they were considered a totalloss. (I had this tried on me is how I know)

Wonder if the Scion falls into this catagory?

China is trying to be strict on auto recall. Chinese safety regulators have made it harder for the nation's car makers to skirt expensive recall efforts. By imposing tougher fines, professionals believe we will soon see better and safer automobiles coming from China.

China still has the policy of exporting their stuff out to the rest of the world, but won't allow anything made in another country into China.

Default WHY GM parts are made in China

Hi Folks, I'm a GM fan. Love my 02 Monte and I'm getting a Corvette for my 65th Birthday present to myself. I've asked myself about Chinese GM ports then did some research and found some interesting stuff. This was a few days before The Election. I don't know it to be True/False and it did not change who I voted for. So, go to your search engine and plug in, "Romney's Ethics Charges" . These articles explain why GM's parts Division was moved to China. I don't think the cars will be moved from "Canadia" <<===Lol
