Default Fwd vs rwd vs awd

Who is King, FWD, RWD or AWD?

I've seen a lot of talking about rwd conversion of the monte, which made me wonder this question.

Other than it just seems to be more "badass" to be RWD, what are the real advantages of this?
And does it depend on the situation? Today we got a lot of snow... awd anyone?

RWD was made to be fun.
Here is a prime example of fun:

fwd for bad road conditions on a dd. but rwd is more fun to drive. awd is better than both at everything.

For a daily driver, FWD. Especially if you live in an area that gets snow. But for performance and fun, RWD

IMO, FWD for dd because of availability and fuel economy, RWD for American muscle and having fun, and AWD for complete bada$$ness and utter performance

I think AWD is highly over rated for performance. Of course its better in the snow, but the extra drivertrain kills the power. I have a turbo'd AWD Volvo V70 and it would get spanked by the FWD version. RWD is awesome and I prefer the handling characteristics of RWD over FWD in the snow myself cuz when you spin the tires in a RWD you don't loose the front end/ steering. FWD is only good for fuel economy

I would take an AWD Monte if offered. Seen some AWD SRT-8's just really hook hard on the track and on road courses...... And of course the Evo's and Subi Impreza WRX and STI's.....

Fun video Nightmare..... bad azz T.A.

RWD For Performance

FWD ussually for a Nice Daily Driver

AWD for snow driving...Don't forget AWD does add weight so it does have a down side.

Having said that, any car be made to perform and look good, just a matter of owners want/taiste/ and most of all wallet.
