So may have found my summer project, its an 82 cammaro with a 350 and T3, been watching this for a while now and the guy Is pretty desperate to sell it. Has gone up and down from $2000 to $800. Hes asking 1400 with a new carb now but come next paycheck im going to see if I can talk him down below a grand. Seems like a very buildable car to me.

That doesn't seem like a bad project car considered it does run and you maybe able to get it down under $1000.

 

The guy is pretty desperate for money. I sent him an offer and asked to meet to look at the car. I dont want to take advantage of someone but I know that I can get a good deal on this. We will see how this works out. Id love to get my hand on this 350 swapped 3rd gen z28. Especially with that cowl hood

 

The body work, paint, and trans will need to be done. That will be a pretty penny haha

Unless you want the T3, but I wouldn't. It will be so loud on the highway. The 68 only has 3 gears and doing 70 on a highway is like 3500 RPMs and loud as hell .

Well speed limit here is 60 haha. Might just pair it with a TH400. Not like im looking to use it as a DD though so I wouldnt really mind the T3 for the most part. The nice thing is if I have the car and its drivable I can worry about the rest as I go. It will be a good learning experience.

Edit: just remembered the 400 is a 3 speed too. Not sure what trans offers an OD with the 350.

Well the guy is looking to negotiate. Some electrical issues with it which im not really scared of. Wipers, blinkers, speedo and temp gauge dont work. Probably just things that never got addressed after the engine swap. Apperently this guy bought it from the guy I was looking at getting it from at first. Gonna look at the car monday and see how low I can talk him down.
