these were awesome but very dangerous.....
Summer Saturdays were never the same once Jarts were taken off the market back in 1988. The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) banned the sale of the metal-tipped lawn darts after numerous head, eye, and ear injuries, especially in children. Some companies have skirted the ban by selling the metal tips and plastic fins separately.

i remember my slip-in-slide...took up the entire length of the front yard! Just place the hose at the top & the yard had a perfect down hill into a little hole fit for the pool.
Do not miss running on dry spots though....can't forget slipping on it too. Just thinking of it hurts!

These were so much fun. They would fly so high and then usually land on the roof. 
While looking for the picture online I seen plans to make homemade ones. sounds fun

Its a sad day here in Michigan...
Anyone remember Sonny Elliot?
For those who dont know who he is:
He use to do the weather on local channels 2, 4 and 7 starting in the 1950's, Until his passing he was working at WJR am 95...
He was 91 yrs old...
Zeus's Lumps are still very present...
Apparently, The antibiotics are doing nothing to reduce them..
Also the NUVET,that we have been giveing him daily seems to be helping
somewhat, His activity level has increased,and his personality seems to be brighter as well...Hes no longer dragging his left hind leg and his walking around has improved!

morning everyone!
been a long, long time since i've been around...and just got my '74 back after having it hijacked by a crappy auto shop for 2+ months (long, long story) but it's good to be back all around.
