Can;t think on a full stomach SGT ?

 

Not so much that. It's just that I was obviously more concerned about making sure I had beer than I was picking up MW3 LOL.

 

Well we all have our priorities ! Yours are in the right place SGT!

 

I went back to get MW3 (thankfully Gamestop is basically across the street) and picked up MORE alcohol on the way back LOL. I'm set for the next two weeks. Got some good ole bourbon this time. So I'm good to go on both counts now.

 

ya know what ? A glass of the captain & some ice sounds real good now !

 

Stuffing your face for free is always good. You obviously really enjoyed it, if you forgot the beer and MW3.

I'm kinda curious on something, if you don't mind Sgt. How do military personelle look at Verteran's Day? Is it a day for you to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice? Do you appreciate the added attention/appreciation you get on this day?

Not trying to be disrespectful. Just curious.

 

Veterans Day is for veterans in general, especially the ones who are still here and bear the scars, whereas Memorial Day is where we remember those who were killed in battle. That's the easiest way I can explain it.

This is the one time of year where people go out of their way to thank those who are or have served in the past. In this part of the US people are pretty supportive of the military in general, but sadly this is not the case in other parts of the country.

And it was MW3 that I forgot, not the beer! I made sure I had plenty of beer the first time I came home. I just picked up some bourbon when I actually got MW3.

 

this pain medication is working wonders. i think i am gonna play some MW3 soon

 

evening all, come home to find out that my grandmother has backed into my moms car, just a week or so after backing into my dads suv. Guess my turn is next.....

 

Thanks for your answer Gregg. The Detroit area is pretty supportive of the military as well. Here in Canada, we call today Remembrance Day. But it's the same idea as Veteran's Day. We have memorial services at local cenotaphs. Honoring military personelle past and present. Southern Ontario (Canada) is very supportive of the military. Most of Canada is, actually. As demonstrated here in Windsor a few years ago when a local army Corporal was killed in the middle east by a roadside bomb. It was the longest funeral procession I have ever seen. With thousands of people lining the streets along the funeral procession route.
