Met a new Monte owner named Cody as I was pulling into the Dollar General yesterday. Hopefully he stops by the forum because I told him about it. He has a really sweet blacked out Monte!!!

Thank you Barbara for starting the daily. Well getting closer to the Nationals and trying to get a list were we don't leave anything at home. Main thing is to get the Monte out of the shop and home in his garage. I told the shop they had to have it finished by Tuesday at the latest they said they would. I hope there done before that. Have a great weekend all.

 

I have started packing my bags in anticipation of leaving right from work next Friday. I am trying to do a few things on the 02 to make it look a little better. It is not show quality by any means but, oh well, she's mine and she's beautiful!!! I really need to do something with my wheels, they have so much brake dust on them they are horrible Not sure I will have time to clean the engine bay the way it needs to be so the hood will be staying down...LOL
I am taking her up to the car show at McDonalds tonight if it does not get rained out.

Good morning everyone. Went to my weekly jam session with friends last night and had a great time, I always enjoy playing music and I've gotten a new foot pedal that just oozes with great lead tones, also trying out some other ones as a friend is lending me some of his for test runs so that I can try before I buy sort of thing which is nice as the music stores make you buy before you try and sometimes pedals just don't work like you think they do once they are on your board.
Greased up my intermediate steering shaft yesterday and it still makes just a bit of noise when turning right but I'm hoping it will go away with some more driving, but still it's a lot better than it was.
My band is playing a charity event tomorrow night for the Huntington's society and we have an Elvis impersonator opening for us, apparently he is pretty good but now we can't play "jailhouse rock" lol, and the way we play it is very rocked up and the crowd usually loves it as we generally follow it up with a grouping of 50s and 60s rock songs so it gets them up and dancing

This week has flown by. I have a car show/cruise in Ann Arbor tomorrow with what's looking like a few other MMCC members. Then I'll be looking forward to going up North for 4th of July weekend. No Monte Carlo Nationals for me this year unfortunately - hoping for Ohio next year.

Cruze continues to post massive gains - last tank saw my best fuel mileage yet of 41.0 MPG. Have surpassed 40 four times with the car now, all within the past month.

 

41.0 MPG?! Wow that is sweet!!
