Good evening everyone. Went to test drive a 2011 Challenger RT but the stupid dealership couldn't find the key - not a good sign. I'm going to test drive a 2LT Camaro tomorrow and possible go across the street to test drive a Challenger RT so I at least get an idea. I also found a sweet deal on a used 2SS RS Camaro at the same dealership Culley 77 bought is car.

Good evening everyone. I've been busy tonight at the mouse house. A little more than two and a half hours to go and then it will be my Friday. Looks like everyone is having a good day of it.

I got a call from my tax accountant late this afternoon. She wanted more info to finish up my taxes and get a bigger refund. I'm getting between fifteen hundred and two grand more back than I thought I was getting. Awesome news.

Angie I'm glad that you are doing better and posting online.

I'm heading to lunch now I think. Talk to you all later.

No problem, and yes i bought the full version of the app. Lots of data, some i dont even know what to do with But im happy to see im running at 195* so my new thermostat is working good. Just checking in after work, went on my lunch to find the monte surrounded by shopping carts, even being parked far away it was so busy at the store.

Mike heres a link to one of the adapters, i believe this is where lou got is.

Have you been on a Harley? If not, don't be surprised by how much more work is involved in the twisties. I didn't realize how much effort it took muscling my Sportster through corners until I rode a bike with better maneuverability. With the Sportster having a shorter wheelbase I thought it would handle better. But it's still a cruiser, and cruisers like going in a straight line best. I still had a blast with it for 5 years, but my riding evolved over the years. I happiest on a sport touring bike now.

Good luck with the Ninja sale.
Thanks

Yeah I've rode a Sportster before. Rode one for about a week before getting my Ninja. Not sure why I didn't buy it. I really liked how it rode. I guess the looks and speed of the sport-bike is what sold me. After taking it for a short ride tonight I was very uncomfortable after only about an hour. I remember riding the Sportster for almost an entire weekend and I never once got as uncomfortable as I do on mine. I'd like to get a sport touring someday but since I'll mostly just be cruising around town I'm thinking a 1200 sportster should be plenty for now. I have someone coming to take a look at 8am tomorrow from Lincoln Nebraska Seeing how they're making the 6 hour drive here I'm willing to be a little more negotiable on my price. I'm hoping that means they're serious about buying it for my asking price though lol.

Anyone have any recommendations on how to make sure this deal works out alright? I've already stated no free test rides. Although when I bought the bike the original owner didn't mind me taking it for a ride. (he didn't even ask to see the cash or my license) I definitely wouldn't let anyone ride it without license and cash in hand. Is this how anyone else would go about selling something lol? Obviously there's only so much you can check out on a bike without actually riding it. I just feel it would be odd to say no you can't ride until you've paid and the title is signed over?

If they wanna test ride it make them give you some collateral or something. Drivers license, credit card, car keys etc...
