What do you think? Waste of time? I'm not holding my breath. But hoping that the more GM hears about bringing the Monte back, maybe they eventually will. Sooner than later.
Lou, I used your letter an changed a few things an sent it to them hope it helps. I will let you know if I hear back..
here's what I sent..

I'm a life-long GM vehicle owner. I've owned mostly Chevy's. But also one
Dodge dart..,
I now have in my garage 4/19/2013
1) 1940 chevy 2dr sedan
2) 1946 chevy 2 dr sedan
3) 1969 Corvette
4) 2005 Impala SS
5) 2005 Monte carlo Supercharged SS
You have a huge following of enthusiasts of many of your GM vehicles.
Notably, the Camaro/Firebird, Corvette, Chevy Trucks. But also the classics.
Like tri-five Chevy's (1955-1957), Pontiac GTO's, and so on. But I think
there's a classic Chevy that needs to be brought back to your line up. The
Monte Carlo.

I'm an active member (and enthusiast) of the Chevy Monte Carlo
community. I'm an Monte Carlo enthusiast on the
website. (montecarloforum.com) But there are a number of international clubs
and Monte Carlo enthusiast forums/websites. As well as regional clubs all over
the U.S. One of the oldest Monte Carlo clubs is the National Monte Carlo Owners
Association (montecarloclub.com). They have been in existence and having annual
meets since the 1980's. And continue to this day. All for owners of the Chevy
Monte Carlo.

The Chevy Monte Carlo is also know for being the most successful
car in Nascar. Driven by greats like Dale Earnhardt, Jimmy Johnson, Jeff
Gordon, Tony Stewart, and Dale Earnhardt Jr. just to name a few.

All of us in
the Monte Carlo community honestly feel it's time to bring the Monte Carlo back
to the GM line up. Not as competition to the Camaro. The Camaro is a pure
muscle car. The Monte Carlo needs to be brought back as it's original
intention. A 2-door Luxury-Sport vehicle. The Monte Carlo has always focused
more on the luxury side. But also had the power and sportiness to grab the
attention and dedication of millions of Monte Carlo owners since 1970.

I currently own a 2005 Monte Carlo Supercharged SS And intend on
keeping it for the long term. Like many other Monte Carlo enthusiasts, I'm
looking forward to the hopes of a new generation of Monte Carlo. I'm really
hoping I'll be able to drive a brand new, next generation, Monte Carlo home some
day very soon. It's time to return the classic Monte Carlo name to the GM
line-up. I look forward to hearing from you ,Thank's Jerry Zielinski Jr.

I also just sent them a similar message.

My family has had a long history of owning GM vehicles. Our driveway as of right now has almost all GM vehicles, Chevy, GMC, as well as Pontiac. I personally own 2 Chevys.

I currently own a 1997 Chevy Monte Carlo LS as a daily commuting car, and I also just recently purchase a 2004 Chevy Monte Carlo SS Intimidator edition. I look forward to keeping it for the long term.

Also, another view I wanted to throw at them, forgot to include this in the original message.

One thing I forgot to include in my last message about a future Chevy Monte Carlo. Looking at the current car market, there are almost no 2 door cars available today. I believe if a new Chevy Monte Carlo were introduced, it would have the potential to be a big hit, as it would fill a market gap.

The only main 2 door cars on the market right now from General Motors, are muscle cars like the Corvette and Camaro, while these are great cars, they leave a gap. Especially now with the Chevy Cobalt gone. I personally would love to see a new Monte Carlo, I think it could be very successful. Hopefully sometime in the near future there will be one. Thanks again, Keane Maher

good luck with those letters! I hope they read it!

A friend told me today a good way to find the original certificate. Going to try calling the GM hotline tomorrow & see if they can tell me the original dealership the car was bought from, maybe be able to contact them & see if they still have it. Original owner said he didn't receive any certificate at the time of purchase..
